SIAD, in collaboration with Infowine, launches the new edition of the SIAD International Award for Innovation in Viticulture and Enology, an event now recognized as a benchmark for those who, between the vineyard and the winery, experiment and innovate with the help of technical gases such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon and oxygen.

Now in its sixth edition, the award was created with the aim of promoting the most promising projects and rewarding solutions able to improve wine quality, production process efficiency and the overall sustainability of the wine industry.

Who can apply for the Award

The Award is open to enologists, researchers, students, PhD students and professionals in the sector, who can apply individually or as a work group. The project does not need to be already completed: ideas still in the early stages or ongoing experiments are also accepted. The important thing is that there is an innovative vision underlying the project that can be applied to viticulture or enology.

Evaluation criteria

All applications will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee composed of experts in the field. The evaluations will take into account not only the degree of originality and innovation, but also the environmental impact, the improvement in wine quality, economic sustainability and the possibility of applying the project on an industrial scale. In other words, it is not just brilliant ideas that will be rewarded, but those that can really make a difference in the world of viticulture and enology.

A prestigious award

The winner will receive the SIAD Medal and a cash prize (equivalent to €6,000 gross), which will be presented during the award ceremony scheduled for the first half of 2026. An opportunity to showcase your work and make a tangible contribution to innovation in the sector.
